    Wheel thrown textured cup with Sapphire Float glaze. This adult did pottery in college many years ago and was finally taking some time for themselves to dive back into their creative life.

    There are two approaches the teacher uses for instructing wheel classes. Students have the option of allowing the teacher to help them with their work or they have the option of working completely autonomously. Either way, the teacher prides themselves on students feeling connected to their own work.

    Adult created aesthetic mermaid. Zoom in to admire the multiple colours and textures on this beautiful piece. Again, this was this person's first time ever working with clay.

    First time on the pottery wheel and first time working with clay. When they surprised themselves with throwing this vessel, they went too far and it tore. We take accidents like these and turn them into beautiful works of utilitarian art. Every students piece has a story and holds a memory. Cobalt Celadon and Galaxy glazes.

    Student Greenware Before Firing

    This was their first time working with stoneware and it was my first time teaching anyone how to sculpt a hedgehog. They were so ambitious. Challenge accepted!
